An ever so brief retrospective...

Looking forward and looking back today.
This is from a series of sterling silver rings from college that were made to be worn as rings and, with the addition of a cord, pendants. I wasn't crazy about the process of casting but certainly liked the end result.

It makes me wonder if I should take a Precious Metal Clay class.

Have any of you worked in metal clay and if so, what was your experience?

  1. Oh.....I've been dying to play with precious metal clay. The cost, and fear of starting yet another obsession has been holding me back.

I see some of the plant impression work that is similar to my polymer work and I think "what if....." Of course I also want to try electroforming and laser cutting....ah well.

  2. Hey, I remember that ring! Such a long time ago. I also did not enjoy the casting process but the end result was well worth the effort.

  3. Just saw your blog for the very first time. Yes! ....metal clay is a great addition to polymer clay and the process is wonderful to do and definitely makes one "dig" deep.
    Love your work!
